Richard Frederick Stephani passed away peacefully on July 13, 2022. He was a resident of Concord Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lakewood, NJ after previously living in Toms River since 1997. Richard was born in Brooklyn on April 28, 1935 to Oscar and Sylvia Stephani. He attended Teaneck High School and then, with his brother Theodore, served two years in the Army, stationed in Germany. After Richard's Army service, he attended The Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. Richard worked in advertising as a graphic artist and art director. In retirement, Richard enjoyed traveling the world and living in the New Jersey shore area spending time family and friends. He was especially devoted to his grandnieces Emilee and Olivia, and grandnephew Christopher. Richard is survived by stepdaughter Natalie Polanin (Nicholas) and stepson Matt, both of New Jersey. He is also survived by brothers Theodore of Virginia and Donald of Illinois, grandchildren Stephen and Christopher, great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family greatly appreciates the excellent care provided to Richard during his time at Concord Healthcare & Rehabilitation and Holisticare Hospice of Tom's River. Funeral services will be private.
