Richard Stone Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 3, 2025.
Richard Edward Stone, lovingly known as Rick, passed away at the age of 57 in Moore, Oklahoma. He was born on November 6, 1967, in Iowa City, Iowa, and was welcomed into the Stone family through adoption in 1971 at the age of four.
Rick grew up in Iowa and graduated from Dexfield High School, where he proudly played football. He later attended the Iowa School for the Blind, before moving to Oklahoma in 2001. For 17 years, Rick worked at EMSCO Electric, where he trained new employees. He was known for his loyalty, resilience, and strong work ethic-never letting obstacles stand in his way.
Rick had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He also enjoyed watching crime dramas, rooting for OU football, and cheering on the Denver Broncos. Above all, Rick will be remembered as a true friend to everyone he met, someone who could always find a way to get things done.
The love of Rick's life was Juquetta, his devoted partner of 17 years. The two shared an inseparable bond, always helping and supporting one another in every way. Rick is survived by his daughter, Holly Emily Marie Stone; his father, Jerry Stone; four siblings, Martha Kriek, Robert Stone, Sue Stone, and Andy Stone; two grandchildren; and his three beloved "porkie" dogs, Bear, Sue, and Binky. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Stone, and his grandparents, Delmer and Fay Stone, and Kurvin and Helen Fish.
Rick's life was defined by perseverance, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Richard, please visit our Tree Store.
