Richard J. Sztaba

Richard J. Sztaba, 70, of New Britain, died peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017. Born in New Britain, son of the late John and Alexandra (Yackowski) Sztaba, he was a lifelong City resident. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the State of Connecticut. His survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Donna Marie and Greg Mazur of Plainville and two nephews, Brett Mazur with his wife Jessica of Windsor Locks and Bart Mazur with his wife Julie of Waterbury, and great nephew Brandan Mazur. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel, with military honors. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain.
