Richard was a man of quiet strength and unwavering dedication, both in his professional life and at home. As a devoted school bus driver known for his dedication to children with special needs, always showing kindness and patience. His work was not just a job but a calling, and he carried out his responsibilities with heartfelt compassion and unwavering commitment.
At home, Richard found joy in the simplest pleasures. Whether it was watching football games, indulging in reality TV, or getting lost in renovation shows, car shows, and game shows, he savored each moment. He was an avid video gamer and known among family and friends for making the best homemade popcorn-a skill that was always in high demand during family movie nights.
Richard was a man who cherished the comfort of home and the love of his family. He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Terry Thomas, and their two children Sean, Jessica, a niece Stephanie who was more like a daughter, and a son Arron from a previous marriage, who were the light of his life. He also leaves behind two younger brothers, Clint Thomas and Franklin James Thomas, Jr. His legacy also lives on in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews, who will always remember him as a loving uncle.
Preceding him in death are his father, Franklin James Thomas; his mother, Joan Johnson Thomas; his brother, Michael Thomas; and his sister, Crystal Blevins. Though they have gone before him, their spirits surely welcomed him with open arms.
Richard embodied the essence of a simple man, finding joy in everyday moments and sharing his warm heart with all those around him. He leaves behind a tapestry of love and cherished memories that will continue to inspire his family and friends.
