Richard, Linda and the boys took me in when I was a kid. Richard and my West Desert Family always took care of me and treated like I was. king. I always looked Richard as my Dad. He was kind, a hard worker and a provider and one excellent man. Richard taught me kindness, love, hard work and the importance of school. Richard would take me and Arnold running at night. He really pushed us. Our goal was to beat him.. He made sure we earned very mile we ran. Richard taught me a lot about life. He always led by example. There is not a day that does not go by that I don't think about my Richard,Linda the boys, Ed Alder and my West Desert Family. They say it takes a tribe to raise kids... I was raised by the best family a kid could ask for. I have spent my life serving, working, mentoring and fostering the lost Pete's of the world. It's been my passion, and calling. The Timm, Bates, and the Alder families taught me to pay it forward! I have done that many times over and still
do. I am a retired 2x USA WORLD CHAMPION and 49 time USA World Championship coach. None of that would have been possible to accomplish with out the examples of Richard and my West Deseret Families. Today, I work for "Roads To Independence Independence," A Disability Service Center. I work as a Traumatic Brain Injury Specialist. I also teach Self Defense to the disabled community as well as the private sector. I have a heart full of emotion and I can't stop crying. Rest In Peace Sir! You are missed and I will see you in heaven one day. Man, Do I look forward to that!
