Richard Torri Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roberts of Ocala Downtown Chapel on Jan. 8, 2026.
Richard Robert Torri, age 55, passed away on January 1, 2026, with his sister, Victoria, by his side.

He was born on April 3, 1970, in Rutland, Vermont.

Rick graduated from Rutland High School in 1988 and proudly served his country as a United States

Marine, attending boot camp at Parris Island in 1989. During his service, he earned the Rifle Expert

Badge and the nickname "Tracer," like the bullet-a nod to his red hair and sharp, unforgettable

presence. Being a Marine was one of Rick's proudest achievements and remained a defining part of

who he was throughout his life.

In 1993, Rick relocated to Ocala, Florida, where he worked briefly as a plumber before joining

American LaFrance, helping build fire trucks for those who protect and serve. He later continued his

education, earning his Associate's Degree as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, a career that

reflected his compassion, dedication, and desire to help others.

Rick had a passion for motorcycles, a talent for finding a deal anywhere, and an unmatched ability

to make people laugh. He was funny, quick-witted, and full of surprises-you never knew what was

coming next, but you knew it would be memorable. He loved his friends deeply and would give the shirt

off his back to anyone in need.

Above all else, Rick's proudest and most fulfilling accomplishment was being a father. He was

devoted to his children, Jayce, his loyal son, and Riki, his beloved daughter, and was happiest

when he was with them. They were the greatest joy of his life.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Ann Lloyd, and his father, Robert Severino

Torri, a fellow United States Marine. He is survived by his sister, Victoria Torri Jonas; his

brother-in-law, James R. Jonas, Jr.; and his beloved children, Jayce Severino Torri and Riki Marie

Torri.

Services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, 606 SW 2nd Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34471, at 4:00

p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Semper Fidelis.

Once a Marine, always a Marine. Rick served his country with pride and will be remembered for his

loyalty, generosity, quick wit, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
