Richard VanMeter, 68, of White Hall, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. He was born November 20, 1957, in White Hall, the son of Pearl (Jackson) VanMeter and Rollin VanMeter, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son; his grandchildren; and his siblings, Connie (Mike) Wright, Danny (Pam) VanMeter, Gary VanMeter, Roger (Gena) VanMeter, Brenda (John) Peters, Ken (Krystal) VanMeter, and Doug (Jodie) VanMeter, along with several nieces and nephews.
