Richard John Venturi, age 59 of Westland, MI passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at home with his family by his side. Rick was born August 21, 1964 in Detroit to John and Fay (Fassio) Venturi.
He lived in Westland most of his life and graduated from John Glenn High School in 1982. Rick was a master mechanic at the Westland Car Care Center for many years and was an amazing mechanic. Rick was known as the "Car Doctor". Rick loved family get togethers, NASCAR, music, poker, chocolate cake and Boston cream donuts. He enjoyed giving flowers, notes and treats to his daughters and close family members.
Rick will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Tori and Taylor, a grandson, Ari and his sister, Anne (Rick)
Young of Lake City. He is also survived by his loving ex-wife and best friend, Jessica Venturi and loving mother in law, Lori Richardson, sisters in law, Jenny (Joe) Bobbish, Erin Brewer and Emily Richardson, and brothers in law, Joe Richardson, and Chris Brewer, several nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by many other family members and friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152. A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Lake City Cemetery in Lake City, MI.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society in memory of Richard.
