Richard Allen Vorhees Jr., born on May 18, 1976, to Richard Allen Vorhees Sr. and Joan Vorhees in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on September 15, 2024.
Richard was a dedicated foreman leader at Haworth Manufacturing, where he worked upwards of 6 years. Richard had a passion for life, enjoying all sports, music of all kinds, and spending time with his friends. He loved camping and making memories with his grandchildren, often entertaining others with his fun and crazy dancing. Known for his hardworking spirit, Richard also had a great sense of humor and took pride in bringing joy and laughter to those around him.
Richard is survived by his parents, his beloved wife, Jennifer, and his children: Elisabeth Rose, Timothy Henne, and Heaven Henne. He also leaves behind his brothers: TJ, Michael, and Taylor; his sisters: Tammy, Randi, Tashie, Leona, Batina, and Trista; as well as his cherished grandchildren: Ahmya, Addilee, Jason, Luna, and Lyric. Additionally, Richard is survived by his grandmother, Roberta Saickas. He is preceeded in death by his son, Eric Rose.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Those wishing to make memorial donations in Richard's honor may direct them to SMART Recovery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
