Richard A. Waitkus 76, of Vandergrift, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025, in his residence.
Born January 2, 1949, in Natrona Heights he is the son of the late Stanley F. and Nellie A. Poleski Waitkus.
A veteran of the US Navy, he had been a self-employed painter throughout the area.
Rich enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Vandergrift American Legion Post 114, Vandergrift VFW Post 566 and the Lithuanian Club in East Vandergrift.
Survivors include his wife Annabelle Hollenbaugh Waitkus of Vandergrift, son Jason Facemyer of Vandergrift, a daughter Carrie Facemyer (Mike Stewart) of Avonmore. His brother Joseph (Kathleen) Waitkus of Fairmont, WV along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Stephen and Stanley "Stush" Waitkus and one sister Bernice Matonic.
