Born January 23, 1939, in Vandergrift, she is the daughter of the late Howard and Beulah Hetrick Procious.
Cathy was employed by the Westmoreland County Sheriff's Office prior to retiring in 1999 after 25 years of employment. She had also owned and operated C.C. Ceramics in Vandergrift.
She spent 51 years with her husband going camping and taking trips to the casino.
Survivors include two daughters Barbara (Steven) Holliday of West Newton and Susan (Chuck) Gaffron of Irwin. Three grandchildren Sydney Holliday, Jacob and Matthew Gaffron along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Martin Carricato in 2010, three brothers Howard Jr., Lawrence and David Procious. Two sisters Norma Jean Holdren and Nola Jane Crawford.
Family and friends will be received Monday from 4 – 8 pm in the DUNMIRE- KERR & ROWE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 244 Franklin Avenue, Vandergrift where services will be held Tuesday at 11am with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating.
