Richard Allen "Dick" Walker

Richard Allen "Dick" Walker, 83, passed away on January 5, 2026 at Community Hospice Care Center. He was born on October 19, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Arnold and Edna Weaver Walker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Paul Walker and a sister Wanda Lester.

Dick was a proud U.S. Army veteran and after his time in the service was a self employed painter here In Ashland. He loved his family and spending time at home, and also loved watching Westerns and working crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sandra "Sandy" Howell Walker, a son Tony Walker (Brenda) of Texas, a daughter Tery Jo Mahoney (Tim) of Ashland, KY, grandchildren Brandon Christopher Rose, and Robert Allen Rose both of Ashland, KY and Daniel Patrick Mahoney (Brianna) of Greenup, KY, a brother Ron Walker of Columbus, OH and several nieces and nephews.

In honoring his wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
