Sandra Jean Blair

Sandra Jean Blair, 76, of Flatwoods, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Community Hospice Care Center.

Born May 24, 1949, in Floyd County, Kentucky, Sandy was the daughter of the late Andy and Grace Keene Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Alton Blair; her son, Jeffery Scott Blair; and her sister, Wanda Collier.

Sandy was a loving homemaker and a devoted member of Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Michael (Kimberly) Blair and Christopher Blair; her brothers, Andy Ward, Jr., Randy Ward, Donald Ward, and Jimmy Ward; her sister, Bernice Chaffins; her grandchildren, Sasha Melvin, Christopher Blake Blair, and Alexandra Blair; and her great-grandchildren, Blaine, Ember, Elliott, and Nora. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Brown officiating.

Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Buckingham Cemetery in Floyd County, Kentucky.
