Dad, Grandpa, Rich, or Boss, no matter how he was addressed, it was with lots of love and respect.
He was born on December 11th, 1947 in Lansing Michigan at St. Lawrence Hospital to his mother and father Evelyn and Don. He grew up in Portland Michigan where he attended most of his school years.
In high school he ran track and set a record for the fastest 100 yard dash and played running back in Football. He was drafted into the Army and served in Vietnam.
In 4th grade he met his future wife, Marilyn. They were married on August 20th, 1966. Rich and Marilyn were married for 57 years, and had four children; Rick, Jennifer, Nick, and Cory.
He worked for General Electric in the appliance industry and moved his family from Michigan to Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri where he opened up his own appliance repair business, Mid America Service in 1987.
One of the biggest highlights of his life were his six grandchildren, Chase, Quentin, Sam, Sophia, Caden, and Cody. He adored his grandchildren and spent a lot of time with them traveling, at the lake boating and fishing, and cheered them on at their sporting events.
He was extremely generous and smart, loved ice cream, soccer, his lake house, his tv chair, and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Kay, four children, Richard Howard (Kelly Ann), Jennifer Laine (Robert Harley), Nicholas Lewis (Shannon Marie), Cory Donald. Six grandchildren, Richard Chase, Quentin York, Samuel Benjamin, Sophia Grace, Caden Donald, and Cody Joseph.
Three siblings, Wayne Foote (Jo Ann), Ronald Foote (Barb), Jackie Carnahan. Sister and Brother in law, Michael and Diane Ward.
He is missed dearly, loved completely and will never be forgotten. He will live on forever in his friends and families hearts.
