Richard Allen Wright

Wright, Richard Allen died peacefully at home Christmas Eve 2022. Richard was born February 28, 1936. In 1954 he joined the US Navy and served on the aircraft carriers USS Wright and the USS Hancock. While in the navy Richard was part of operation Wigwam, a classified underwater test, that detonated a 30 kiloton nuclear device, earning him the distinction of "Atomic Veteran." Preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children Lorraine Wright; his second wife, Elizabeth Kallevig; his parents; brothers, Michael, Ted, and Jerry, and sister Daphene VandeWeerd. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Larson and Caroline Moon (Paul Gagnon); two grandchildren, Kasey Barden and Kristina Barden (Jason Silva); two great-grandchildren, Bryce Silva and Katharina Barden; sisters, Theodora Patterson and Marilyn Panko, along with many extended family and friends.
