Mr. Richard Wayne "Ricky" Wright, 69, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at his home. He was born November 3, 1955 in Lancaster, a son of the late Marion RL Wright and Betty Sue Cook Wright. Ricky spent his free time fishing, hunting and working on race cars. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed porch sitting and watching the birds, squirrels and deer.

A service to celebrate the life of Ricky will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jessie Adams officiating.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Robbie Self Wright; his son, Jeffrey Wright (Marybeth) of Lancaster; his daughter, Wendy Pate (Mike) of Lancaster; two brothers, Michael Wright (Lorraine), and Roger Wright all of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Lil Mike Pate (Kayce), Lee Pate, Wyatt Pate (Kirsten), Tabitha Wright, LG Wright, and Nevaeh Pate; and four great grandchildren, Logan Pate, Zephram Pate, Zynlee Pate, and Oakley Pate. In addition to his parents, Ricky is preceded in death by two brothers, David Wright and Benny Wright; and a sister, Cindy Hendrix.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.
