Obituary of Richard E. Wuesthoff (ALBION) Richard “Rick” Wuesthoff, age 71 of Albion, died peacefully at his home 1/26/2019 with his loving and devoted wife Ellen by his side and after having been cared for by her and Hospice of Orleans.   Rick was born 11/12/1947 in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI to Robert and Elizabeth (Dewalsche) Wuesthoff. The family eventually moved to Doniphan, MO where Rick graduated from Doniphan High School and then joined the United States Navy where he took basic training in Memphis, TN and then was stationed in Corpus Christi, TX. Rick went on to serve in the Naval Reserves in Bainbridge, MD and took a job working for the United States Department of Defense at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL as an Information Technology Computer Specialist retiring in 2006 when he moved with his wife to Waterport and then Albion having lived in this area for the past 20 plus years. Rick enjoyed woodworking and created beautiful furniture for their home.   Mr. Wuesthoff was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Martin “Marty” (Carol) Wuesthoff.   He is survived by his loving wife Ellen (Neilson) Wuesthoff, their children: Cheri (Rob) Lewandowski, Eric (Melissa) Wuesthoff, Marcy (Dan) Nelson, Craig Hartl, his brother: Kenneth (Betty) Wuesthoff, his sister: Lorraine (Harold) Williamson, several grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.   There will be no prior visitation, and a private service of remembrance will be scheduled for a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY, 14411.   Rick’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. of Albion.
