Richard L. Yohn passed away in Neenah on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. He was born in Wild Rose, WI on December 3, 1944 to Harriet and Leslie Yohn.

He is survived by his wife, Marie (Pipe) of almost 60 years; two daughters, Jane (Lee) Wohlt of Fremont and Angela (Ken) Dahle of Waupaca; two grandchildren, Aaron Dahle and Jenny (Teagan) Vezina; and great grandchild, Sofia Vezina. He is also survived by a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, special nephew and friend, Ronald Yohn of Pensacola, FL, and many other special nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Jason Lee Yohn; mother and father, Harriet and Leslie Yohn; brother, David Yohn; in-laws, Nina and William Pipe; brother-in-law, Donald Hansen; great nephew, Gregory Yohn, and many friends.

Richard was the youngest of three boys. After losing his father at age nine, he worked hard with his brother Dave and his mother to successfully run the family farm, expanding it to raise pigs. It is from his mother that he learned to cook and cook well. He could make a meal or dessert with anything in the house. He rarely showed up to a family gathering without a dessert in hand. He also brought his stories and sense of humor with him everywhere. Anyone that knew Richard could expect fun stories, jokes and laughs.

Also, like his mother and wife, he took meticulous pride in his lawn and expertise with flowers. Richard's large garden in Amherst was simply perfect and weed free. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Marie, visiting all 50 states, including travel overseas. Richard rescued and loved many dogs throughout his life.

Richard trapped much game as a young man and was an avid outdoorsman, deer hunting and fishing year-round his entire life, until his health limited him. Richard most enjoyed his years driving truck. He had a special bond with his son-in-law, Ken, who was always there to help.

Richard spent the last year battling the odds of survival again and again. His will to keep moving was remarkable and a testament to his stubbornness. Richard lived his life overcoming every obstacle by making the best of any situation. His work ethic was second to none. He lived his life to the fullest and wanted everyone to do the same.

Per Richard's request, no services will be held.
