Rick Cornell, of Mesa, AZ, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son & friend, passed away unexpectedly Sunday December 22nd, 2024 in Minnesota, while surrounded by loved ones. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years Robin, mother Clara, brothers Mike (Linda) & Jerry, sister Barb, children Kristi, Sharon (Dan), & Jeff, grandchildren Joe, Jack, Kaylynn, Julian, Jaden & Emma as well as many much loved in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Growing up in Richfield, Rick graduated in 1970, and then married his high school sweetheart Robin in 1975. After raising a cherished family in Maple Grove, the two eventually settled in Mesa, AZ.
Services for the local lumber baron & self proclaimed "good looking tall guy with dark hair" will be held at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael on Saturday December 28th with visitation from 2:00 to 5:00 PM followed by a brief service at 5:00 PM and dinner to follow the service

I've worked with Rick for many years through Miller Wholesale Lumber and to hear of his passing was incredibly sad. He was such a happy, kind, engaging person who always made it seem like we were old friends, not just people doing business together. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends, what a great loss for you all.
