Rick Eberle Obituary

Rick Eberle, 70, of Vermilion, died Thursday, January 26, 2023 at his home after a sudden illness.He was born April 22, 1952 in Lorain, Ohio and had been a lifelong Vermilion resident.Rick graduated from Vermilion High School and Bowling Green State University with a degree in Aqua Biology and Chemistry. He then worked for Avon Lake Regional Water for over 34 years, retiring in 2018. During his time at Avon Lake Regional Water, Rick was well known and respected, receiving many awards for his professional accomplishments. Rick was an extremely devoted father, and a faithful and active grandparent. Rick always put the needs of others before himself. In retirement, he continued his very important role to help take care of his grandchildren. Rick was a dedicated member of the Browns Backers and loved socializing at the local Vermilion restaurants and establishments. In past years, Rick was an active cyclist and marathon enthusiastparticipating in such events as Pelotonia, Vermilion Harbour Triathlon, and Tough Mudder.He is survived by his wife Kimberly Eberle of Vermilion, sons Ryan (Jamie) Eberle of Denver, CO, Daniel Eberle of Denver, CO and William "Ralphie" Hunt of Vermilion; daughters, Fallon (Brandon) Winterstein of Vermilion, Lisa Hunt of Cleveland, and his grandchildren Destiny, Lexi, Zoe, Ella, Emberly, Eva and Miles. Rick was uncle to Amy (Paul)Tansey, and Rick Weber and their children.He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lorraine (nee Nickley) Eberle and his sister, Candice "Candy" Weber.The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb 5, 2023, from 1:00 pm until the time of a memorial service at 3:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH with Reverend Rich Henry officiating.The family suggests memorial contributions to Grace's Kitchen, 3747 Liberty Ave, Vermilion, OH 44089.Online condolences may be made at www.riddlefuneralhome.com.
