I'm not sure if it was my first memory because there were quite a few. I remember when he played in Hot Buttered Popcorn while I was going to the Rice high school dances. That would've been 1976 - 1977, I believe. Also, I occasionally bump into him at various Leggett gatherings from funerals, weddings, and other gatherings. He really was a nice friendly guy. Prayers for Maureen and the rest of the Leggett families. Thoughts and prayers to all. May you rest in peace, Ricky.

My very first memory of Rick Legget was my freshman year at SMC on a help desk repair call, I happened to setup the audio-visual equipment before anyone came and he was so surprised that he urged the IT department to allow me to work with him and the next four years I worked with Rick daily in that office. To this day I reference the audio-visual skills I´ve learned from Rick. During college I had a lot of things going on back home, including the stresses of college, I was able to confide in Rick about a lot. It saddens me dearly to not have had the opportunity to reconnect after college and just say thank you to the big guy, but I will never forget to make sure my wires are out the way, where my speakers are placed, and my master level.
I send my deepest condolences to all the family and friends. Rick really was an amazing person that will always be remembered.

Rick was my first supervisor during my Work/Study assignment, in 1999, at Saint Michael's College. He was high-energy, deeply committed to his job in User Support Services, motivating, & he gave me increasing responsibilities during my time working for his department. He trusted me, and I always respected him. Years later, he loaned and donated tech equipment to my classroom. He was extremely supportive. Rest In Peace, Rick.
