Rick Shaw Obituary
Rick Shaw, 67, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025 in his home with his daughter at his side. He was born on April 26, 1957 in Indianapolis to the late Eagle Shaw and Justine VonAxelson. Rick was an insurance agent for American Family Insurance. He started his athletic training career in Texas City, TX. Rick was with the Indiana State Sycamore's the year they went to the National Championship. He worked with many other professional and minor teams throughout the years. Rick just enjoyed sports in general. He was an avid Jimmy Buffett fan. Rick loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Lorrene Poynter. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica (Chris) Norman; grandchildren, AdiMae and Jameson Norman.
