Rick Weaver, 80, of Jackson Township, passed away at his home on Tuesday January 28th, 2025. He was born in Canton, Ohio on October 31st, 1944, to the late Lester and Lucille Weaver.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. He went to work at Ohio Bell as a salesman and become regional sales manager at AT&T where he retired in 1997. Rick was devoted to his wife Sandy, children and grandchildren. He had a passion for fishing, military history, boating, Ham radios and sports. Through his love and devotion, he created a firm foundation for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He revered the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Riggle, of 57 years of marriage; children, Todd (Melarie) Weaver, and Amy Dmitsak; grandchildren, Malia (Daniel) Smith, Adam, and Hayden Weaver and Micah Dmitsak.
A special thank you to all the staff at Traditions Hospice who helped him at home during his final days, and a special thanks to Chaplain Glen Shedlock at Traditions for his prayers and helping support the family during his final days.
Calling hour will be held at Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 11 am – 12 pm with a Celebration of Rick’s life at 12 pm. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. To share a message with Rick's family please sign the online guest book.
