Rick Wooton born November 16th, 1960, in Hazard, Kentucky. Departed this life on August 19th, 2025, at his lifelong home in Krypton, Kentucky. Rick is survived by wife of 43-years, Alice Faye Wooton of Krypton; daughter, Chrystal Chantal Napier & Randy of Krypton; two sons, Brandon Scott Wooton & Sam of Lexington, KY and Kelly Darrell Wooton & Karissa of Sidney, KY; sister, Vickie Jean Colwell & Doug of Krypton; grandchildren, Keelan Napier, Ryder Napier, Trysten Wooton, and Emma Wooton; nieces & nephews, Mary Ramsey & Donnie, Amanda Chambers & Michael, Karen Elmore, Samantha Troxell, Vanessia Troxell, Chase Colwell, and Colby Colwell; uncle & 2nd dad, Chester Wooten; special cousin & Pedro, Patty Wooten-Fugate; adopted son, James Napier; special fur baby, Nico; also a host of many other family & friends survive, and preceded in death by his parents, James & Etta Mae Wooton. Other than his parents, Rick was also preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Willard Wooton. Rick was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend.

He lived a life marked by hard work, service, and a deep love for sports and community. Rick built a successful career as an Independent Bread Distributor for Flowers Bakery, known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and the friendships he formed along the way. Alongside his sales career, he proudly served as a Deputy Jailer at the Kentucky River Regional Jail, where he was respected for his integrity, compassion, and commitment to helping his community. Outside of work, Rick found true joy in sports. He was car collector, and avid athlete and competitor, with a lifelong passion for baseball, softball, basketball, bowling, and golf. Whether on the field, the court, or the green, he brought energy, enthusiasm, and camaraderie to every game. Apart from playing the games he also coached, mentored, refereed, and umpired. His love for sports reflected his spirited nature and his belief in teamwork and perseverance. Rick never met a stranger and had a special way that when he talked to you made you feel as though you were the only person in the room. His sense of humor, kindness and genuine friendship to so many leaves an immense void that can't be filled.

He will be remembered not only for his professional dedication and athletic spirit but also for the love he gave to his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the example he set.
