Elder Rickey A. Brown was born April 8, 1956, in Moss Point, Mississippi, to the late Bishop John L. Brown and the late Lois Dean Brown. On Sunday, November 2, 2025, he transitioned to his heavenly home with his family by his side.

Rickey graduated from Moss Point High School in 1974 and took pride in being a "Magnolia Monarch."

He worked for Huntington Ingalls for 42 years and retired in 2016. Rickey spent his retirement doing what he loved best, fishing and driving his tractor.

Rickey came to Christ in 1980 under the leadership of his father, Bishop John L Brown.

He was married to Renee Steward Brown for 42 years. Their union brought three children: Kairabba Brown, Rikki Alexis Brown, and Steward Brown.

Elder Rickey Brown was preceded in death by his father, Bishop John L. Brown and his mother, Lois Dean Brown, maternal grandmother, Ava Grace. Aunts: Cynthia Roberts, Mary Green, Doris Dean Mobley, Rosie Bell Turner, Pearl Law, Willadean Taite and Lenny Law. Uncles: Waddell Green, Arthur Roberts, Joseph Sherrod. Father-in-law, Kessie Steward: Mother-in-law, Feannie Steward. Brothers-in-law: Arthur Steward, Kessie Steward, Jr., Aaron Robbins, and Davide' Wilson. Sister-in-law, Martha Robbins: Niece, C. Ashley Brown - Lawrence: Nephews, Patrick Robbins, Sr. and Prince Woods.

Rickey leaves cherished memories with his wife, Renee Brown, and his children: Kairabba (Dominque) Brown of Jacksonville, Florida; Rikki Alexis (Kevin) Ferguson of Moss Point, Mississippi; Steward (Charniqua) Brown of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. His Brothers: David (Carolyn) Brown, John Eric (Carmen) Brown, Sr., Anthony (Keesler) Brown all of Moss Point, Mississippi; His Sister: Betty (the late Davide') Wilson of Moss Point, Mississippi; (7) grandchildren: Monquavius Green, Alicia Griffin, Dexter Williams, Carmen Carter, Kirstyn Brown, Londyn Chambers, Logan Brown: Aunt, Annie Sherrod of Moss Point, Mississippi: Sister-in-law, Mary ( the late Kessie, Jr.) Steward of Pascagoula, Mississippi: Brothers-in-law, Willie Steward of Houston, Texas and Bernard (Jency) Steward, Sr. of Moss Point, Mississippi, Ruben (Tawana) Steward of Grand Bay, Alabama and Larry (Patsy) Steward of Wilmer, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
