Rickey Eugene Buckalew was born in Maryville, Missouri on April 24, 1946, to Dale and Marie Buckalew. He graduated from West Nodaway High School in Burlington Junction, MO in 1964. He held the high jump record for years. He married Linda S Bain on May 17, 1968. They had one son, Richard Eugene Buckalew.

He worked for his uncle on the farm until he and Linda got married in Cainsville, MO. They moved to Trenton, MO and he worked for Anheuser Busch for 25 years. He also drove for Jerry Hostetler Trucking and Waller Trucking, where he retired. They moved to Colorado in 1996. Hobbies included, playing pool, playing cards, and spending time with family.

Rickey is survived by Linda, his wife of 57 years, his son, Richard and wife Cherri, grandsons Reggie and wife Kendall, and Reece and wife Madison, two great grandchildren, Isley & Rhett. Three Brothers, Bennie, Randy (Jamey) & Rodney (Diane) and one sister, Reene (Larry), and several nephews & nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters-in-laws, Sharon Buckalew, Lora Lee McGinley, Debbie Buckalew and Betty Hartschen, 2 brothers-in-law, Junior Hartschen, Merlin McGinley.

Celebration of life will be held in Trenton MO & Keenesburg CO at a later date.
