Funeral services for Rickey Dwight Hayman, 69, of Philadelphia, Mississippi will be held Monday, January 6, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Pool officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler City Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Rickey Dwight Hayman passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on September 7, 1955, in Forest, Mississippi, he was the son of Robert Nolan Hayman and Evelyn Elaine Chandler Hayman. Throughout his life, Rickey was known for his dedication and hard work, particularly in his role as a Roller Operator with Lehman Roberts Asphalt Company until his retirement. A passionate supporter of Alabama football, he cherished his time spent with family and friends. Rickey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandi Wells Hayman of Philadelphia, MS; daughter, Michelle Bynum (Brad) of Meridian, MS ; daughter, April Hayman (Jonathon Presley) of Philadelphia, MS; son, Tyler Wells of Los Angeles, CA; son, Kyle Hayman (Shaina) of Duffee, MS; brother, Timmy Hayman of Butler; grandchildren, David Dearman (Jordan), Kayla Dearing (Brady), Jayleigh "Matti" Presley, and Kinsley Hayman; great-granddaughter, Ansleigh Dearing; four legged companion, Jiselle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Nolan Hayman and mother, Evelyn Elaine Chandler Hayman.
Pallbearers include Kyle Hayman, Terry Buchanan, Warren Hollingsworth, Brad Hollingsworth, Kyle Boyd, and Brad Bynum.
Honorary Pallbearers include Danny Prewitt, Jonathon Presley, Lance Sherman, and David Dearman.
