Rickie "Rick" Alan Pryor age 75 of Ionia, IA, died Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at his home.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Hugeback – Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in New Hampton has been entrusted with arrangements.
Rick was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on October 4, 1950, to Kenneth William Pryor and Doris Mae Pryor. He finished the 10th grade in school. He joined the Marine Corps on Sept 4, 1968, and served until March 2, 1972. During that time, he served in Vietnam from December 12, 1970, until May 25. 1971. He left the service as an E5 sergeant. Rick was married to Rosetta Morgan, later divorced, married Rita Roberts, later divorced, married Valarie Smith, and later divorced.
Rick loved to watch Westerns and read Lewis Lamore books. He loved to hunt and fish with his buddies Richard Albright and Patrick Clark.
He had four children: Laurie Lynn Pryor, Ryan Alan Pryor, Monique Michaels, and Heather Regan. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was blessed with a large number of nieces and nephews. Rick had two sisters, Kathleen Lynn Albright Behrends and Verna Michelle Olsen Colburn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth William Pryor; his mother, Doris Mae Pryor; and two brothers: Larry Kenneth Pryor and Michael Rae Pryor; one brother-in-law, Larry Dean Albright.
