Rickie Whitehead Obituary
Rickie Randolph Whitehead, 66 of Wilson passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at West Nash United Methodist Church, 2200 Nash Street N, Wilson. Reverend Heather Herrin-Wong will officiate.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Rickie is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Laura Whitehead; daughters, Lauren Frails and husband, Errol of Wilson, and Allison Whitehead of Wilson; mother, Elaine Whitehead of Wilson; sister, Vickie Lamm and husband, Kim of Wilson, and his brother, Mike Whitehead and wife, Susan of Emerald Isle, along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Whitehead, Jr., and his grandparents, Yuatt and Odell Tyson, Garland and Daisy Rose, and Jack Whitehead.
The family would like to express their special thanks to Regional Medical Oncology Center and Hospice of Wilson for their amazing care and support.
Flowers are welcome or consider memorials in Rickie’s memory to West Nash United Methodist Church, 2200 Nash Street N, Wilson, North Carolina 27896 or St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
