Ricky Joseph Blanchard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving Ricky Joseph Blanchard, born August 8th, 2012 and went to his eternal home on October 10th, 2025. Ricky brought immense joy into all of the lives that knew him.
Ricky, a vibrant soul, passed away at a young age, leaving behind a legacy of joy and love. A passionate Fortnite and video game enthusiast, Ricky's infectious laughter and humor lit up every room. Known for his big heart, he cherished his family, fiercely protecting his momma and sisters. Ricky enjoyed swimming and playing basketball with friends, always bringing energy to the court. A 7th grader at Reeves High School, he was also a devoted member of Topsy Baptist Church. Ricky's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Ricky is survived by his loving mother, Sunni Jo Blanchard; his devoted siblings, Tori Denise Boudreaux and fiancé William "BB" Edwards, Jordin Laine Blanchard, Jessie Joseph "JJ" Blanchard Jr., and Shannon Kate "KK" Arabie; his grandparents, Debra Denise O'Neal, Jodie Laine Guidry, Charles Blanchard and wife Kathy; his great grandmother, Wanda O'Neal; his nephew and best buddy, Jaxon Alan Edward; and uncle Delwin Dean Boudreaux; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ricky is preceded in passing by his loving father, Jessie Joseph Blanchard Sr.; and his grandparents, Glen Alan O'Neal and Ricky Joseph Boudreaux.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 15th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m., until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., in the Reed Chapel at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 315 N 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana.
