Ricky B. Charleville

Ricky B. Charleville passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the age of 64, surrounded by his loving wife, family, and friends. Ricky was born June 8, 1960, in Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated from Central High School in 1978. In January 1983, he began his electrical career with his future father-in-law, Clyde Allen, at Clyde's electrical contracting company, A & O Electric. Very shortly, he met the love of his life, Kerri Lane Allen, and they were married on November 16, 1984. In the late 1990's, Ricky attended Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. Pelican Craft Training, majoring in Instrumentation and Controls Technology. He started working for BP in February 2001. For the last 14 years until the time of his death, he worked offshore on the BP Atlantis. Ricky was an avid sportsman as he loved hunting and fishing, but his favorite pastimes were scuba diving and underwater photography. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Ricky is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kerri Allen Charleville; children, Whitney C. Morgan (Brad), Cameron Charleville (Sarah), Victoria Charleville (Peyton Swindler), Kristen C. Melancon (Robin, Jr.), and Cobyn Charleville; grandchildren, Drytin Charleville, Cruz Charleville, Canaan Charleville, John Chandler Morgan, Sailor Swindler, Jack Morgan, Creed Charleville, and Sage Swindler; mother, Edna Charleville; brother, Scott Charleville; sister, Donnell Charleville Greer (Mike); mother-in-law, Mary Allen; brother-in-law, Blake Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Charleville; father-in-law, Clyde Allen; brother, Jeffrey Charleville; and niece, Michelle Charleville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation celebrating Ricky's life at Wilbert Funeral Home, 440 South Alexander Avenue, Port Allen, LA 70767 on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10 am until religious services at 2pm, conducted by Brother Mark Robinson. Afterwards, Ricky will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Grosse Tete, LA. Pallbearers will be Cameron Charleville, Cobyn Charleville, Drytin Charleville, Brad Morgan, Robin Melancon, Jr., Peyton Swindler, Brett Morales, and Maxie Dardenne. Honorary pall bearers are Danny Braud and Scott Charleville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Grosse Tete/Rosedale Lions Club or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
