I have very fond memories, as a young attorney, appearing before Judge Keis. He granted my first, and only, directed verdict, some 35 years ago. A kind and approachable judge who genuinely cared for the clients and attorneys before him. I was sad when he retired from his County Court seat and I am even sadder to hear of his passing.
I believe the world is richer because he was among us and had an apparently generous spirit. I pray the Lord's blessings upon the family during this difficult time and look forward to the day when we will see each other on that "Great Getting Up Day"! (pardon the quote from the movie Glory) Respectfully,
Mark G. Creighton

I hated to read about Judge Keis' passing. It is such a shame. He was such a good judge. I always enjoyed appearing before him. He was fair and kind.

I knew Brent since he began practicing law. He was a fine man and good lawyer. I hate to hear of his passing.

It was always a privilege to appear before Judge Keis. Always fair and polite and certainly knowledgeable. A man who lived his principles.
