Ricky Joel Lekfield

Ricky Joel Lekfield, a loving and generous man, passed away peacefully at home in Sussex, Wisconsin on May 3, 2023. Born on September 28, 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ricky was known for his friendly demeanor and willingness to help others.
Ricky is survived by his son Ricky "Aaron" (Mia) Montoya, daughter Rikki Ann Lekfield, sister Robin (Todd) Rasmussen, and uncle to Robert, Ashley (Dean), Joe, and Reese. He was a fond brother-in-law to Beth (the late Bob) Lekfield. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Audrey Lekfield, and by his brother Bob Lekfield.
Throughout his life, Ricky was an avid motorcyclist, enjoying the freedom and camaraderie that came with riding. He was actively involved in various motorcycle clubs and associations, where he made many lifelong friends. Ricky's love for motorcycles was not just a hobby; it was a passion that he shared with others, inspiring them to embrace the open road.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and was a talented mechanic. He was an avid mechanic, always fixing the vehicles of friends and family. Ricky's generosity and kindness were evident in all aspects of his life, from his relationships with family and friends to his interactions with strangers. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Ricky embodied this sentiment throughout his life.
In addition to his love for motorcycles and helping others, Ricky had a wide range of interests that brought joy to his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and engaging in various hobbies. Ricky's friendly nature and warm personality made him a beloved figure in his community, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A celebration of Ricky's life will be held from 3-6 PM on Friday, May 12, 2023, at his apartment complex community room located at W246 N6500 Pewaukee Rd., Sussex, WI. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories of Ricky, honoring the man who touched so many lives with his kindness, generosity, and love.
Ricky's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the positive impact he made. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Rest in peace, Ricky, and may your spirit continue to inspire and uplift those who follow in your footsteps.
