He was born in De Queen, Arkansas, on August 13, 1948, the son of Henry Ervin and Wanda Jacqueline Johnson Martin. Ricky served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He worked in logistics by trade and was a Baptist. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances Yvonne Cummings Martin, two sons, Rick Minchew and Jason H. Martin; a daughter, Tasha Brewer; two brothers, Michael H. Martin and Gary Martin, and a sister-in-law, Judy Martin.
Ricky leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Art Tidmore of Houston, Texas, and Charla and Dwight Davis of McClenny, Forida; his grandchildren, Cody Richter, Steven Paul Minchew, Kyle Minchew, Joseph Minchew, Jered Minchew, Noel Tidmore, Sienna Tidmore, Cody Johnston, Hunter Davis, Jeremy Davis, Jeffery Mitchell, and Caylee Mitchell; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Virginia Martin, Paris, Tenn., Randall W. Martin of Grannis; and Lendall and Nedra Martin of Parks, Arkansas, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Graveside funeral services with Military Honors for Mr. Ricky Martin will be held at 3:00 P.M., on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in the Grannis Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Chandler Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
