Ricky Joe McClure Jr. ("RJ"), age 43, of Ooltewah, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Born January 12, 1982 in Alabama to Rickey Jo McClure, and Saundra Ann Chastain, RJ was a man of many talents. He was the kind of person who could do just about anything- whether it was fixing, building, or helping others- he always seemed to know how.

RJ had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting. He found peace and joy in nature, and he shared that passion with those around him.

He will be remembered for his strong spirit, his practical wisdom, and his willingness to lend a hand whenever it was needed. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

RJ is survived by his wife of 24 years, April McClure, His 2 sons; Justice (Lucy) McClure, and Colton McClure, His mother; Saundra (Dennis) Chastain, His sisters; Nichole (Chris) Evans, Denise Caughorn, and Kimberly (Allen) Clark, His brothers; Niles Swartout, Casey (Kortnee) Brownfield, and Jason (Michelle) Chastain.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, where the family will receive friends at 10:30 AM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home-Chattanooga Chapel, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

Burial will follow at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN.
