Our beloved Ricky Pernell McMillian, Jr., aka "Rooster", aka "Bird", was chosen to embark on a new journey to spread his wings and fly high in the gates of Heaven on October 3, 2023 with so much happiness and joy in his heart.
Ricky was born to Robin Steponik and Ricky McMillian, Sr. on April 1, 1984 in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he was tragically taken from us. He was loved and admired by so many people. He touched so many lives and made such a good impression on those he had encountered throughout his short life.
He is now survived by mother, Robin; his father, Ricky; his son, Izaiah; his stepfather, Cas; his girlfriend, Christina; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 nephew; 2 nieces; 2 grandmothers; and several other close family members and friends.
The time has come for you to soar into the sky to distances you've never gone before. Take flight with grace and peace resting high in the blue skies at ease.
You are so loved and will be missed forever and will always be in our hearts even though we're apart.
Your Wings Were Ready But Our Hearts Were Not. Until We See You Again Fly High...
