Ricky Moore

Ricky Moore of Lafayette, GA, passed away on February 14, 2026, following a long battle with health conditions. He took his last breath at 2:56 p.m., surrounded by his family. Ricky was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, James Moore; his mother, Christine Moore; his brother, James Moore; and his sister, Betty O'Neal.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Moore; his sister, Cindi Roberts; and his children: Kristy (Josh) Harmon, Jessica (Tommy) Clark, Brooke (Andrew) Williams, Ricky (Shay) Moore, and Justin (Audi) Moore. He was dearly beloved by all of his grandchildren: Dylan Harmon, Kaitlyn Harmon, Jesse Shepherd, Ryan Vaughn, Ariana Vaughn, Eli Clark, Elizabeth Williams, Cayden Moore, Kyree Moore, Alaina Moore, Addy Moore, Milly Moore, and Sylas Moore.

Ricky spent his years working in various trades, including 11 years of service in the Army National Guard, carpentry and mechanics. He gave everything he had to his family and enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, drinking coffee, and watching COPS. He was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Ricky's services will be held on March 14, 2026 at Lupton Drive Baptist Church (859 Lupton Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37415), beginning at 1:00 p.m., and will be officiated by George Culver Jr. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Following the service, family and friends will gather at Chester Frost Park Pavilion (7989 Causeway Rd, Hixson, TN 37343) for a celebration of life from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
