Ricky was born on May 12, 1957 in Henderson, Texas, to Glenn and Juanita Pool. He married Alma Jimenez on July 14, 1978 in Halfway, Texas.Rick dedicated 24 years to Wal-Mart Distribution as an Operations Manager, where his hard work and leadership touched many lives. But his greatest joy was his family. He poured his heart into being a husband and father, and that love grew even stronger when he became a grandfather. He treasured fishing trips with his grandchildren and often invited other family members along, creating memories that will be cherished for years. A devoted sports fan, Rick’s pride in the Texas Longhorns and Pittsburgh Steelers could be seen from miles away—his flags flying high enough to mark his home.Rick also had a deep love for animals, showing them the same kindness and care he gave to people. His life was defined by generosity. He was always ready to help, whether asked or not, giving his time and energy freely without ever expecting anything in return. His door was always open. Whether you needed someone to listen, a Dr. Pepper, a cup of coffee, or just a seat beside him to watch the game, you were welcomed. Rick’s legacy is one of love, laughter, kindness, and hospitality. He always had time for you.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Juanita Pool.
