Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late Marion Frank Tutterow and Janet Loring Anthony Tutterow. Ricky was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as an Airborne Ranger. He was also a retired SC Highway Patrol Officer and a member of New Life Baptist Church. Ricky was a devoted husband, daddy, and Paw. He loved going to the farm, taking all the boys hunting, and spoiling his family in every way. He cared about his family much more than he ever did himself, and did everything he could to help and make their lives better. Ricky would help strangers as much as his own family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Tutterow; and a nephew, Jehremy Young.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cheryl Tutterow; two sons, Jacob Tutterow and Jeffrey Tutterow (Ashley); daughter, Madison Tutterow (Jamison); sister, Brenda Young (Richard); and three grandchildren, Aiden Tutterow, Jaycee Tutterow and Sophie Creech.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Harris officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mission 22, 694 N. Larch Street, #910, Sisters, OR 97759.
