A graveside service will be held on January 31, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, WA. A celebration of life will be held later this year. Riggs was my freind for many years and i met him through the American legion Honor Gaurd was always very pleasant to talk to and was always very kind. I miss him being on the Honor Gaurd I will surly miss him and every time i here taps it will remind me of all the years he played taps at our services

Riggs was truly a great man. Riggs was a very successful business man and ran his business with enthusiasm and integrity. I always enjoyed my dealings with him and he will be sorely missed by many. My most sincere condolences to all of the Nelson family. May he rest in peace with the Lord.
