Rigoberto Zamora Felix,
Rigoberto Zamora Felix, known affectionately as Beto or Robert, was born on March 1, 1956, in Canatlan, Durango, Mexico. He passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 15, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.
Robert’s career was a testament to his dedication and entrepreneurship. He initially worked in fiberglass at Continental in Belton before transitioning to Texas Industrial of Remcor Ind. in agricultural sales. His entrepreneurial spirit then led him to establish his own successful fiberglass business.
Robert's life was enriched by his deep love for family. His heart truly fell in love at first sight with his soul mate, Diane Esparza Felix, and he was determined to marry her, dating for three months before proposing. They shared 49 beautiful years together, filled with enduring love and companionship. Beto was a proud father to his first born daughter, Christina, in 1977, followed by his next firecracker, Michelle, in 1979, and finally, his son Jesse, who will carry on his family legacy.
His faith and strong character were hallmarks of his personality. He was known for being a hard worker, kind, patient, and graceful, embodying the spirit of a God-fearing man who never complained. Beto had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went, never knowing a stranger. His passion for life extended to ministering to anyone who would lend an ear, and he took pride in his faith, looking forward to the day he will meet his loved ones again.
Education was also important to Robert, who graduated from Benito Juarez High School before pursuing further studies at a college in Canatlan, Mexico. Throughout his life, he cherished spending time with his loved ones, engaging in hobbies such as singing and playing the guitar. His proudest achievements included his unwavering devotion to his faith and family, particularly the joy he found in his grandchildren. He attended Centro Evangelical Church of Temple until he transferred and became a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Temple where he was also a founding teacher of the Spanish Bible Study for Sunday classes and held a title as a Deacon for the church.
Robert is survived by his cherished wife, Diane Esparza Felix; his son, Jesse Felix; and his daughters, Christina Resendez and Michelle Felix. He will be lovingly remembered by his two brothers, Manuel, and wife Theresa Felix, and Gerardo and Maria Ramona Felix; his five sisters, Maria Felix, Hortencia Felix, Olga Felix, Consuelo Felix, and Alma Felix; and his two grandchildren, Christian James and wife Lilly Resendez, Julianna Diane Felix, along with two great-grandchildren, Amilio and Aylah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ricardo Felix and Narcisa Zamora Felix; his son, Samuel Felix; and one sister, Jesu Felix.
