Riley Scot Hogeback, a vibrant and loving child, passed away tragically on October 11, 2024, in Saint Cloud, FL, at the tender age of five. Born on January 21, 2019, in Leesburg, FL, to David Scot Hogeback and Ashley Stewart, Riley was a child of joy and laughter, filling the lives of all who knew him with boundless love and cherished memories.
Riley's infectious smile and sparkling eyes were a testament to his gentle and loving nature. He was the embodiment of kindness and had a heart that was always ready to help others. His love for life was evident in his every action, from his enthusiastic climbs to his playful impersonations of Spiderman, his favorite superhero. Riley was a source of light and happiness, and his presence was a gift to his family and friends.
Despite his young age, Riley had already shown an impressive strength of character. He was tough, resilient, and always ready to face the world with a positive spirit. His recent entry into kindergarten at Harmony Community Schools was a milestone that he embraced with excitement. Mrs. Young, his beloved teacher, fondly remembers his eagerness to learn and the kindness he showed to his classmates.
Riley's interests were as vibrant as his personality. He loved the color blue, which mirrored the depth and calmness of his soul. His passion for swimming and fishing was matched only by his love for climbing and exploring the world around him. Riley was never happier than when he was in the water or enjoying the great outdoors with his family.
He was a sweet but mischievous boy, always ready with a laugh that could light up a room. Even in challenging moments, Riley's spirit remained unbreakable, and his smile never waned. His love for life and his ability to find joy in the simplest of things were an inspiration to all who knew him.
Riley leaves behind a loving family who cherished every moment with him: his father, David Scot Hogeback; stepmother, Cheyenne Fite; mother, Ashley Stewart; grandparents, Angela Eberheart, Marty Stewart, and Anita Stewart (Scott); aunts, Raven Whitaker (Jimmy) and Kris Helms; uncle, Jonathan Elfrey; siblings, Isabella Fite and Cody Hogeback; and many adoring cousins.
Riley's passing is a profound loss to his family and all who were touched by his sweet, gentle soul. He will be remembered as a loving and caring boy who, despite his short time on earth, made a lasting impact on the hearts of many. His spirit, characterized by love and gentleness, will continue to shine brightly in the memories of those who loved him.
As we say goodbye to Riley, we celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the lessons of love and resilience he taught us. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the pure, unfiltered delight of a child's heart. Riley Scot Hogeback will be deeply missed, but the light he brought into this world will continue to guide us forever.
