Riney Bailey Gribble, age 94, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of Crosspointe Church, passed away Wednesday, October 29th, 2025.
Born to Mancel and Esther Mae Miller Bailey, Riney lived a life full of warmth, faith, and joy. She dedicated many years to teaching Sunday School, nurturing the spiritual growth of her community.
Riney found happiness in life's simple pleasures-traveling, exploring yard sales, and admiring butterflies and flowers. Her love for family was evident in the deep bonds she shared with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Connie Moore; grandson, Jesse Lamar Lewallen; brothers, Louie Traffenstead and Clifford Bailey; sisters, Frances Marcus, Beatrice Gribble, Clara Belle Burns, and Lorene Black; and son-in-law, Thomas Baggett.
Riney's legacy lives on through her husband of almost seventy-six years, William "Billy" Gribble; children, Shirley Baggett, Jesse Gribble (Betty), Ginger Guffey (Oney Murphy), and John Gribble (Veronica "Sally"); her grandchildren, Tony Newton, Kimberly Johnson, Christopher Guinn, Keith Guinn, Jessica Moore, Sheena Sheilds, Amanda Blankenship, Justin Guffey, and Taylor Quarles; along with twenty grandchildren; and eighteen great-great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law, Joyce Starks, Kathryn Cochran, and Carol Gribble; special niece, Debbie Umstead; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 3, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., Crosspointe Church with Pastor Michael Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at Crosspointe Church.
