Rita Amaro, 82, of Weatherford passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in Weatherford. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 9, 2018, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Road, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Visitation: 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 8, with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N Elm St. Weatherford, Texas.
Rita was born May 22, 1935, in Lockhart to Juan and Teofila Hernandez Luna. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rita enjoyed cooking and especially loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vicente Amaro; and by her son, David Amaro.
Rita is survived by her children, Chris Galindo and husband, Mike, Norma Harper and husband, Tim, Jose Amaro and wife, Crissy Delgado, Paul Amaro, Rita Lopez and husband, Eufracio Morin; daughter in law, Caroline Amaro; sisters, Susie Flores and husband, Jose and Petra Rameriz; 18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
