Barbara Jane Dean

Barbara Jane Dean, lovingly known to many simply as "Bobbie”, "Mom”, “Grandma,” and “GiGi” passed away on February 27, 2026, surrounded by her children.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Dean; her sons, Joseph and James; her grandson, Matthew; her great-great-granddaughter, Willow; her parents, Kenneth and Mary Holtshouser; and her sisters, Wilma and Josephine.

She is survived by her children: daughter Cynthia and husband Steve; daughter-in-law Kelly Dawn; son William and wife Lindy; son Kenneth and wife Robin; son Kellen and wife Kristie; daughter Kathleen and husband David, and sisters Susie and Patty. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren—each a testament to the family she treasured above all else.

Barbara’s greatest pride and joy was her family. Loving, devoted, selfless, and strong. She lived her life pouring herself into the people she loved. Her home was always open, her heart even more so. She was a mother not only to her children, but to their friends as well—anyone who crossed her doorstep could count on her care, encouragement, and generosity. If she had something to give, she gave it freely.

Barbara’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the family traditions she created, and the love she modeled every day. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Celebration of life will be held at Whites Funeral Home in Weatherford, Tx on Thursday March 5th, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
