Rita was born in Fort Worth, TX on May 9, 1954, to parents Dora Lou and Crawford Sloan. And passed away on February 7, 2025.
She had fond memories of those who frequented her checkout line at Super 1 and could remember any name. In her retirement she enjoyed puzzles, reading books and travelling with family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dora Lou and Crawford Sloan.
Those left to cherish their memories of Rita include her daughter Shanna and husband Chuck Sullivan, son Jeffrey Ashby, brother Crawford Sloan Jr., sister Lisa Rowett, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Rita will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Saturday, February 15 from 5 to 7 PM.
