Mrs. Rita V. Bartolomeo, 84, of Northview Estates Ellwood City, formerly Ellport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 surrounded by family at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Rita is preceded in death by her husband Daniel E. Bartolomeo Sr. who passed away on March 31st, 2014.

Rita was a volunteer at the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary and the former Holy Redeemer Bazaar. She is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers.

Rita married Daniel on September 8th, 1962 and together they built a home filled with love and laughter. Family was the center of Rita's life as she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was especially proud of being a committed grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and attended every event throughout the years. Rita spent her Sundays after church in the kitchen cooking to gather family and friends around the table.

Rita is survived by her daughters, Michele Franze and Beth (Joe) Germanoski both of Ellport, son, Daniel (Joan) Bartolomeo Jr. of Ellwood City, sisters, Margaret Atkinson of Ellwood City and Anna Marie (David) Rogerson of Johnstown, brother, Frank (Louisa) Carrozza of Ellwood City, grandchildren, Joey Germanoski, Erica (Matt) Marshall, Matthew (QuinnCee) Germanoski, Leah Franze and her fiancé Mike Reid, Nichole Bartolomeo, Alexa Bartolomeo, and Sophia Bartolomeo, and great-grandchildren, Gianna Germanoski, Beau Marshall, Blakely Marshall, and McKinley Germanoski.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, William Atkinson Jr.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Northview Estates, especially Autumn Kline, for their dedicated care of Rita as a resident for the last 5 years.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. to share memories and honor a life well lived, and again on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church with Father James Wehner officiating.
