Rita Bolser, age 74, of Brookville, Indiana died unexpectedly Saturday, August 30, 2025, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, after suffering a stroke at her home on Wednesday.
Born November 4, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Gordon W. & Mary M. (Ruehl) Pope. On November 8, 1968 she was united in marriage to Ronald Dean Bolser and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2012.
Rita and her husband had a dairy farm in Franklin County for many years. She loved her farm, tending to her garden and flowers, and was known to keep everything immaculate and in good order.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelly (Trev) Lohrey of Brookville, Indiana; a grandson, Dylan (Autumn) Westerfeld of Brookville, Indiana, two great-grandchildren, Stevie & Ace; two brothers, Richard (Irene) Pope of Cedar Grove, Indiana and Raymond Pope of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Besides her parents and husband, Ron, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Bolser who died February 5, 1988, grandson Logan A. Westerfeld who died May 12, 1996; as well as a brother, Roger Pope who died June 17, 2019.
Family & friends may visit from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Steve Rundel will officiate the Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, 12:00 Noon, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will then follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Brookville.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The staff of Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home are honored to serve the Bolser family, to sign the online guest book please visit www.phillipsandmeyers.com.
