Rita A. Botek

RITA A. BOTEK, age 89; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (nee Beercheck); dearest sister of the late Fred J. (wife Janet deceased); loving aunt of Fred G. and Georgeanne Botek, Amy and Joseph Mitchell and Wendy Frostino; great-aunt of Matthew, Jonathan, and Daniel Botek; Joseph and Jami Mitchell, Macey and Jessica Mitchell; and Nicholas and Benjamin Frostino.

Rita was born on January 4, 1937, in Smock, Pennsylvania. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Notre Dame Academy. She received a Nursing Degree from Cuyahoga Community College and went on to become a caring Registered Nurse at the Cleveland Clinic.

Travel intrigued Rita. She ventured to England and France and on a "Thelma and Louise" road trip around the US with a dear friend. In her free time, she loved to read, do crossword puzzles, watch travel and food shows, and enjoy a good meal with family and friends.

Rita will be remembered as a most giving, generous, and loving soul with a great sense of humor. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and devotion to her family and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

We will celebrate Rita's life at Gilmour Academy's Our Lady Chapel, 2045 SOM Center Road, Gates Mills, Ohio 44040 on Monday, March 16, 2026. A visitation with the family will be held from 10-11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.
