Rita A. Chappelle

Rita A. Chappelle, 79, passed away on the early evening of August 1, 2025 at Alpha Concepts in Howard with her sons by her side. Rita was born on February 22, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of the now late Antonio and Dorothy (Tainter) Navarro. Rita was a superior crafter who enjoyed spending time quilting and crocheting for her children. grandchildren, friends and neighbors. Rita was proud and loved her L.C.O Native American Heritage. She loved Friday night fish fries, rummage sailing along with her dogs Benny and Maggie and the Green Bay Packers. What Rita loved most was her family, late husband Randall Chappelle and mother: Dorthey Lee, children and grandchildren. Rita had four children: Robert Karpowicz, Matthew Karpowicz, Frank Karpowicz and one daughter, Wendy Karpowicz, step-daughter: Stacy Erickson, grandsons: Adam Bauman, Kage Karpowicz, Nick Erickson, granddaughters: Cassie Bauman, Maria Muto, Kayla Karpowicz, great-grandchildren: Stella, and Waylon Karpowicz, James and Lillian Baumans, 2 nieces: Nicole and Amanda Navarro. Rita made friends wherever she went and will be missed by all of them. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Hamlet Creek, 3562 Finger Road. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. The Legacy she leaves behind is unconditional love
